- 다시마 표면의 하얀가루는 '만나톨'이라는 감칠맛을 내는 성분으로 안심하고 드셔도 되니 세척하실 때 이부분을 너무 많이 세척하지 마세요! - 간혹 다시마에 녹색이나 황토색 가루가 묻어 있는 경우, 곰팡이가 아니라 다시마를 채취할 때 갯벌의 진흙이 말라서 보이며 사용하시기 전 한 번 깨끗이 씻어 주시면 됩니다.
